Nope, we’re not..
They are…
And I couldn’t be happier about it!
I think this is the first thing we’ve ever hired out. We could have done it ourselves, but really…we just didn’t want to. Why?
* We live on rock. No really, pretty much no dirt exists on our property. Here is a picture (circa 2008) of my dad and brother using a jack hammer to plant a couple small trees.
Okay so that is mostly gravel, but trust me, the rest of the property is solid limestone.
*I can’t do it myself and I don’t want to nag Adam to do it. Adam can’t do it himself and doesn’t want to nag friends and family to help us with a task we don’t even want to do ourselves.
*It’s really hot outside.
*The company we hired is making a really nice fence for really cheap.
*It would take us weeks…months…who knows how long to finish.
Sometimes, it’s worth the money to not have to do something yourself!
This looks exciting. Can’t wait to see the finished look.
As for the feature, you are more than welcome. I feature you frequently because you always inspire me.
Have a great week.

EXACTLY!! Sometimes it’s wiser to spend the money just for sanity~~!!
Good luck!
We too just had our fence installation hired out. Both my husband and I have done fencing before. He learned a lot from my Dad (a rancher with lots of land to fence!) after he married me…haha! But we figured the installers could do it faster and easier because they do this everyday! You’re right: sometimes it actually pays to hire out :-)
Can’t wait to see your new fence completed.
Yep, that’s a prime thing to hire out I’d say! We built our pens out of pipe like that and it took forever!!
Another “why”:
* Cause you don’t have a mortgage payment!
Just curious — how are the 2008 trees doing? Seems like it would be hard for them to “take root” in limestone.
True, true! We planted five trees and two of them are still with us, lol. Although, most of them didn’t survive because they weren’t the right kind of tree for the area. We found them by the dumpster at Lowes and though we’d try our luck. The one from the picture was a crepe myrtle though, and it is doing awesome!
