Weekend Sales and My Favorite Amazon Tip
I wasn’t planning to write a post about the sales this weekend, but I’ve been poking around the web for deals so I figured why the heck not. There are some great ones to be had, and I feel like everyone has one big item they hold out buying until Black Friday. This year we’re buying a soundbar….two actually. We chose this one, which is currently on sale for $98 from Walmart and is rated the best soundbar under $500.
Also, Saturday is small business Saturday! If you have a business please leave a link to your website, Etsy shop, or wherever else you sell from in the comments so we can support you!
Alright, so here are some of the sales I came across, plus my favorite Amazon tip that you may or may not know about.
Amazon
I’m not even sure how to post about the Amazon Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale…it just too big. Everyone knows it is the place to shop for deals. Keep up with the deals HERE, they are constantly changing and you can easily miss out.
Here is my favorite Amazon tip – prices are always changing on Amazon, and sometimes you don’t know if something is actually a good deal, or they are just making it seem like one. So what you do is copy the URL of the item you are looking at, then head to camelcamelcamel.com and paste it in the search bar. A history and chart of past prices will let you know if you are getting a good deal or not. Here is an example using the current InstantPot on sale. It is currently on sale for $54.99, and as you can see in the screenshot below, it’s a legitimately great deal.
Here is another example that makes me a little upset. Adam and I just bought an electric fireplace insert for the bedroom, a PuraFlame 33 inch. Its awesome and we love it (see more on my Instagram highlights). I paid $330 after checking camelcamelcamel. In order to do this example, I went back to it and it is on sale for $263! That is an amazing deal, and if you are shopping for one then you should go buy this one RIGHT NOW.

Up to 60%, and there are SO MANY awesome pieces on sale this year. The sale includes the Matrix chair and hammered metal planters I used in my reading nook, plus so much more.
Here are a few of my favorites from the sale –
Minted
20% off cards, gifts, art, home decor purchase over %150, 15% off everything else using code BF2018. Ends at midnight on Friday. Minted is great for Christmas cards and all sorts of stuff, but I really like their art selection. They have a ton of unique options, and you can get them on canvas or a variety of beautiful frames.
Overstock
Overstock is one of my favorite places to shop online, and it looks like a ton of stuff is on sale. Most of it appears to be 15-20% off, although they claim up to 70%, Here are a few of my favorites –
Rustic floating shelf and towel rack – $53
Safavieh 8 x 10 navy/ivory cotton rug – $155
Etsy
Etsy is one of my very favorite places to shop. Everything is unique and handmade, and the quality (in my experience) is usually far superior to what you would buy in stores. It’s hard to pinpoint sales because Etsy is made up of individual shops, but Etsy has put it all in one place for you. See the sales page here.
Home Alone Doormat (buy two things from this shop to get 50% off)
Ruggable
I don’t own one of these, but I want one…they are washable rugs! You have to check it out if you live in a stain prone house like I do. They are 20% off this weekend using code BF2018.

I’ve been using planners for the last few years, and I have yet to find the perfect one. For 2019 I think I might have found it in the Simplified Planner by Emily Ley, and this weekend they are on sale. I just bought the weekly version (they also have a larger daily planner as well).

Also, don’t forget about Ebates! I’ve been using it since 2009, and I have earned $1,100 cash back just by going through their site before buying something. They are even offering double cash back for Black Friday, and that includes Amazon! You can sign up here, you won’t regret it.
I have an Etsy store
zaydaliciousdesigns.etsy.com
The fireplace is 191 right now!
Never mind I guess that was a smaller size ????
Have you ever used Honey to use coupon codes and track best prices? It’s a great browser add on! I use it all the time.
That doormat is hilarious.
I’ve felt the same! Sometimes not wanting things to be financially easier, worried that health or other issues may strike. I used to worry about “the other shoe”, too. Probably in the years following the stillbirth of my first son. I’m not sure at what point that lessened. It’s almost superstitious. Now, I mostly just focus on how Blessed I am and frequently thank God, that for just this moment, everything is ok.
